Does NOT charge the 3G. Simple as that. Useless. If it wasn’t so cheap, I’d send it back. Instead, it’s garbage.

This charger does not work with the 3rd Generation itouch. After talking with Apple, 3rd generation systems do not work with the old chargers because of something called Fire Wire. You must use the new adaptors which as far as I can tell are only availabe as APPLE products. Others might carry the product, but APPLE is the only one who makes it.
I am returning this (although the rest of the items worked) and had to purchase the charger from an APPLE store.

For the price payed this is an excellent deal. All the items I received do they’re job adequately and compared to what you would pay in a store, it is a great deal.

I bought this primarily for the chargers and so far so good. I’m glad I decided to get this through Amazon instead of going to the Apple store where it costs 5 times as much just for the charger. I can’t comment on the screen protector or case (because I don’t use them) but the chargers are great.

This adapter only works with the 8 GB Touch, but it’s an excellent value! We used the AC and car adapter for a recent trip to Florida so we didn’t have to drag our bulky laptop along. You can’t beat the price — just make sure you’re buying it for an 8 GB Touch and not a 32 GB or 64 GB model. (I’ve heard it doesn’t work with those.)
