I have my doubts about most skins/cases for mp3 players, so I meticulously read reviews for many different ones. After finding glowing comments for this one, I decided to try my luck and was absolutely not disappointed. I’m probably covering what others have already mentioned. :)
Thumbs-up:
-It’s so easy to use.
-Protects the iPod ridiculously well from scratches, dents, dings, drops, and grubby hands.
-The front plate, although it doesn’t cover the scroll-wheel (which I like), is thick and protects the screen really well with minimal glare.
-The skin is easy to grip. It’s rubbery, so it has that natural traction to it, and the grid-cut just adds to that.
-This skin is very very very durable. I carry it around all the time, dump it in my bag, drop it/bang it into things more than I should, and it’s still holding up really well. I’m pretty sure the iPod will be protected from anything short of a vicious knife attack.
Possible Cons:
-The skin is slightly bulky. My last mp3 player was the size of a large bar of soap, so it doesn’t bother me but some people might be irked.
-Because the skin has so much grip to it, I have noticed that it loves lint. It’s nothing washing it won’t cure, but it is kind of annoying.
-The front plate scratches easily, but it’s not noticeable unless you’re really looking for it under bright light. It’s definitely not noticeable when the screen’s on.

the other reviews say it all. Perfect. Rugged. The best case I’ve found, and I’ve tried several.

I’ve had this case for little over 6 months now and I love it! And it is “beat up” proof, which is great for me!

After comparing countless iPod cases, I ended up choosing the Speck Armorskin for my 120gb iPod classic. And what a good decision that was! This case is very sturdy and provides excellent protection against scratches and accidental drops. What sets this case apart from the others is the plastic piece that protects the front and screen of the iPod (only the click wheel is exposed). Great feature! The package includes a piece that goes inside the case to provide a more secure fit. I would recommend using this piece no matter which iPod you have (I believe it was intended for use with the 60gb). It really made a difference in the fitment for my 120gb and it provides just a bit more padding in case of a drop.
Now for the best part…
It FITS inside the Bose sounddock iPod dock with no problems!! You don’t have to take the case off to use it! We have the first generation Bose sounddock that uses a cord, not the rechargable model. I’m not sure of the fitment for the newer models. Anyhow, this is one of the best parts about this case. It provides great protection and you aren’t required to take off the case to use the Bose sounddock. Highly Recommended!
