I bought it to help keep my iPod form slipping out of my pants pockets on airplanes, rental cars, etc. <br /> <br />WARNING: if you have a 5th generation iPod nano (the one with he video camera released in Fall 2009) this cover is not a "perfect" fit in that the 5th gen Nano has a larger display and the wheel is not in the same place as the 4th gen one that this cover fits. It also lacks a hole for the video camera and mic on the back. But the good news is that it's nothing that three minutes with a sharp Exacto knife can't fix it your not too concerned about how it looks. For the price it's hard to beat. It is well worth getting! The case fits the Ipod nicely & is not clunky. The one I received has a ribbed texture. I can still see the color of my Ipod with this case which is nice. You really need to get the screen protector on correctly the first time; dust getting beneath it is inevitable if you have to reapply it. Sturdy case, no complaints, definitely a good buy.
