My daughter made a powerpoint presentation for school, but we are not sure if it will play on an Apple computer. Will it?

yes, the programs for making a powerpoint on a mac and pc are both made by microsoft, so they are backwards compatible.

It should still work as long as the Apple computer has “Keynote” (the Apple version of Powerpoint) or “Powerpoint for Mac” installed on it. I would think that a school computer would have one of these applications installed.

The only problem I’ve had with transfering presentations is that the font sometimes gets changed by the other computer. That’s minor though, and, if you want, I can tell you how to embed the fonts into the presentation so that they won’t get changed.

One more thing: If you’re using Office 2007, be sure to save (by going to Save As) the presentation as a Powerpoint 97-2003 presentation. This is because you can’t be sure if the school has the newest version of PP… it’s best to be prepared for the older version.
