I guess I should consider myself lucky that the rest of the controls are accessible from the driver seat. That said, the length of this cable is perfect. What makes this cable great is that the opening in the Speck Candy Shell case for the headphone jack is rather tight and this cable fits in perfectly. It's the raised metal lip on the cable that makes the difference. I could not get the cheaper Radio Shack cable, which does not have the raised metal lip, through the Candy Shell case. This cable should work with the tightest of cases with the smallest of holes. Then perhaps a wire inside must've broke and now only one channel works. The so called life warranty is retarded because the item was only 5 bucks to begin with and shipping would be more than what i had paid for it in the first place!
