This is a beautiful case that fits an iphone with a skin. The holes in the case make it easy for headphones to fit through and to access the phone. Unfortunately the belt clip is worthless right out of the package and gets more bent over time (like 2-3 weeks). So if you don’t mind losing your phone every few days and going out with a flashlight to find it the next morning, then go with this product. Please avoid this.

I ordered this case as a replacement for my worn out DLO case, which was poorly made. Comparing the two side-by-side, the Blue Harbor case is much bigger inside and the iPhone moves around inside. In discussion with the company, the case has been enlarged to accommodate a skin or other iPhone cover. The case thus sticks out more on the belt and tends to catch on things. Otherwise, this is an almost identical copy of the DLO, right down to color and materials. This will be fine if you already have your iPhone in a silicone case or sleeve, and want to double wrap it. Otherwise, I’d recommend going with a more form fitting package. I did like the slick magnetic closure vs. the DLO velcro, but you should take note – this may erase the magnetic strip on credit cards put into the little pouch inside for this purpose. This appears well-made, but I may return for a form fitting product.

I’ve been looking for an iphone holster that accommodates an iphone with a protective case. My iphone with the SwitchEasy Rebel case, one of the better rate cases, works well with this holster. A little snug at first, but with use the leather has relaxed to fit the phone + case well. The holster looks great, has cutaways where desired and seems well made. I’m no longer looking for a holster or protective case.

I love buying things online but after upgrading to an iPhone 3GS – I have decided that iphone accessories are best bought in person.
When I bought the iphone, I bought a clear Speck protecting cover and a skin to go over the screen. So when I wanted a case to clip on my belt, I was looking for one that would work well with these. Other cases I have tried were too thin to work with the speck (which I like and knew I didn’t want to give up).
When I saw the review for this product and that it worked well with a frogz protector, I thought I had found an answer. Nope.
This case is nice, and works as advertised. But I found out that it is difficult for me to pull it out of the case with one hand. It’s just too tight. I ended up finding a case at lowly WalMart. Imagine that. I was able to test them in person at the store.
My advice is that if you are about to buy an iphone, spend some time talking to friends and researching the legion of skins, protectors, and cases that are out there to buy, and how they will all interact in combination. Pay close attention to those that carry the phone like you plan to, like, do they store it in a purse? Or in the pocket? or on a belt clip case? The way you use it will dictate the type of protection you use.
For me, I need a balance of protection against a drop and ease of one handed use.

I have an iPhone 3G and have tried numerous leather cases, but either they would fit but have low-quality materials, or vice-versa. This BlueHarbor case is the FIRST leather iPhone case that really WORKS for me. The leather is durable yet soft. The contrasting stitching adds that extra “high-end” style to it. I use a protective hard case with my iPhone which adds a bit to its size, but both fit easily in this case. The magnetic clasp is much better than the usual velcro snap so I don’t hear this “rrrrip!” sound when I take my iPhone out. I think that the designer of this case really does understand what cell phone users need in a case. The horizontal style is SO much more practical than a rotating or vertical one. The belt clip is wider than most and makes it more comfortable to wear. I am really impressed with the unique design along with the high-quality leather in this case! I’ll be back to order another one for my husband’s iPhone!
