I got this as a gift from my brother and it’s alright for one time charge. It’s serves well for an emergency power. My brother recently bought another charger called Atom and it charges his iphone more than two times and iPod shuffle over 5 times and he looovves it. I am planning on buying that to replace this one. Check out atomondemand.com

I needed this capability this weekend. The unit came dead on arrival. It will not charge. I seem not to be the first that encountered such a defect. Look for another manufacturer.

I’ve had three of these – all returned. First was Dead on Arrival (DOA). Called support. Second worked great for one charge, one trip. Then it died. Third came DOA.
***I HAVE TO CHANGE MY REVIEW – THESE WILL CHARGE FROM A WALL PLUG ADAPTER, LIKE AN IPOD CHARGER. THEY DO NOT CHARGE FROM AN IMAC USB CONNECTION. ONCE CHARGED, THEY WILL FULLY CHARGE A DEAD IPHONE NAD HAVE A LOT LEFT OVER.

I bought this external battery to keep my iPod charged on a trip to Asia. It worked fantastically well.
It held its own charge for the entire trip, and I was able to recharge my iPod and my iPhone numerous times with no problems.
I am very pleased that I bought the Macally !

Funny that people like this product. I felt that this product was a wast of money. It will barely charge my phone one time and you have to remember to keep plugging it in every few days or it looses its charge by sitting unused. It sits now in my glove box never to be used again.
